Click this link: Idaho Statesman article to read about how three Treasure Valley non-profits, including HOHNW, are serving their communities with Medical Equipment Loan Programs.
HOHNW Director, Debbie Wheeler, said: “People come from all over the Valley to borrow from us. With the baby boomers aging, it’s getting to be a bigger issue. Demand is growing … Wheelchairs are the most requested item.”
“In 2005, we figured the benefit to the community was $38,152,” Wheeler said. “In 2017, we figured the benefit to community was $679,446.”
All the durable medical equipment we loan out to area residents is sterilized before re-use.
