Read Our Story
Hands of Hope Northwest is a Christian, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to helping people locally and globally by providing healthcare supplies and equipment. Our organization works to help those in need daily by:
- Collecting medical supplies and equipment
- Sorting items based on who can use them
- Shipping supplies to countries in need overseas
- Supplying regional and international medical mission trips
- Maintaining an inventory of medical equipment for our local community to borrow at little to no cost
The Hands of Hope Northwest ministry was conceived in 1992 in Nampa, Idaho when Sharon Griffith, a Mercy Hospital employee, saw medical equipment being thrown away. She realized it could be reused for the benefit of people without adequate healthcare. Sharon’s vision was built on by Liz Murtland, the Founding Executive Director, and a group of volunteers who wanted to make a difference in the lives of others.

To improve the quality of life for people with health or mobility issues by redistributing donated medical equipment and supplies to individuals and partnering organizations, domestically and internationally.

Our Board of Directors is actively seeking new members to join us. If you are interested, please talk to Executive Director Todd Durbin or a board member and fill out the application linked below. We prefer candidates to have volunteer experience of our operation, but it is not required.
