From One Crate to a Container: Back to Papua New Guinea

In 1992, Hands of Hope Northwest sent its very first shipment: a single 4-foot crate of medical supplies to Papua New Guinea. That’s Rich Murtland and Charles Thornburg loading it in the photo above.

34 years later, on October 1, our volunteers loaded a 20-foot container of medical supplies for Kudjip Nazarene Hospital, in the same country where it all began. (Why 20 feet? It’s the only size that can safely travel the roads to get there.)

Thank you to every volunteer who loaded it, and to everyone who donated the supplies inside.

Want to be part of the next load? Volunteer applications are at handsofhopenw.org/volunteer.
