November Director’s Note
I have traveled to thirty countries around the world, including many very poor ones. Before I came to work at HoHNW, my husband and I were missionaries in Thailand and the Philippines. After seeing the poverty in other places, verses like this one are very important to me. “Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor.” Zechariah 7:9-10.
Try to imagine a hospital with no supplies and with equipment that is 50-70 years old. Picture what a hospital in the tropics is like where the walls are open to the outdoors, so all the flies and mosquitos can come right in. These are some of the things we have seen. The Lord has used these experiences to give me a passion for this ministry. What is your passion?
