May 2016 Idaho Gives Day Success
Idaho Gives Day is an annual, statewide, 24-hour online giving day that took place this year on May 5. It is an opportunity for people to support their favorite charity, such as Hands of Hope Northwest.
Our goal was to raise $9,000 to purchase an Aqua Phase washing machine that will quickly sterilize our Community Loan Program medical equipment and save employee time. We’re pleased to announce that donors raised $9,000 by May 17!
The Community Loan program is vital to the Southwest Idaho area with more than 900 pieces of medical equipment on loan to those who need it but can’t afford it. Wheelchairs, walkers, bath chairs, and hospital beds are some of the items available to anyone who needs to borrow them after surgery, accident, or illness. When the equipment is returned, it must be cleaned and sterilized before it can go out again. This machine will free up employee time and get the equipment cleaner than we can!
Many Hands of Hope NW supporters showed up for the Idaho Gives Day Celebration at our Ministry Center and enjoyed a BBQ meal and fellowship.
Thank you to the $1,000 matching grant donor who helped us reach our goal!
