September Director’s Note

After a month or so of living with smoke in the air, it was nice to finally have days where we can see the sun again. The smoke made it feel more like a February inversion without the cold temps.

Requests for large shipments have returned after a short hiatus due to the virus. It’s been a strange year, but we are looking to finish strong by getting as many shipments out as possible.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have raised enough funds to replace two computers, with nine to go at $800 each. Great response for how little we publicized the need.

Our next need is big. We are working to replace the batteries in our forklift. The quote I received yesterday was just short of $6,000. If you would like to help replace the batteries, mark your check or online donation “Batteries.”
