2018 Tea for Hope at the Chateau
NEWS ALERT: After seeing the sickening news about the chemical attack on Syrian civilians in Douma, you may wonder how you can help the innocent victims of such atrocities.
Hands of Hope Northwest (HoHNW) invites you to a fundraising event Tea for Hope at the Chateau on Saturday, April 28, from noon-2pm. Our goal is to raise $30K to send two shipments of vital medical equipment and supplies to Israel to help Syrians affected by the 7-year civil war. HoHNW sends regular shipments to countries where medical care is lacking for those living below the poverty line and has helped 71 countries since 1992. One shipment will also help low-income clinics in Israel.
HoHNW's first shipment to Israel arrived in February in partnership with Global Gateway Network. They distributed medical product to two new women’s hospitals and 13 other field hospitals in Syria. Watch CBS 60 Minutes video, When Hospitals Become Targets to glimpse the effects of bombed Syrian hospitals on its victims.
With partners, Global Gateway Network and The Joseph Project, HoHNW can reach displaced Syrian families, holocaust survivors, and others living in poverty in Syria and Israel.
The event will be held at Chateau des Fleurs in Eagle. Guests will enjoy a full English Afternoon Tea with an assortment of savory quiches, scones, sandwiches, and sweets. Each guest will receive a surprise gift from Camille Beckman. The event will also feature a silent auction.
The event's keynote speaker is Micah Smith, Executive Director of Global Gateway Network. Micah was in Israel to receive the first shipment and will have a first-hand account of conditions in Syria and who our medical supplies helped. Our MC will be Claudia Weathermon Tester, Communications and Public Relations Consultant and former local news anchor.
Individuals tickets are $50 and make great Mother's Day gifts!
