2,000th Pallet since 2005
On Tuesday, March 24th 2015, we had a small celebration because our pallet guys completed their 2,000th pallet since we started counting them in 2005. Way to go, guys! Gayellen Smith and Pat Kissell provided homemade goodies for the occasion. The first pallet was shipped to Papua New Guinea in 1992 by Liz Murtland, the Founding Director of HoHNW, and her husband, Rich. Below is a picture of Rich Murtland and Charles Thornburg loading that first crate. Sharon Griffith was involved in collecting supplies for the first pallet, and she and her husband, Danny, helped pack the 2,000th pallet. Each pallet contains about 30 boxes of medical supplies that local hospitals couldn’t use. They are sent to developing countries all around the world.
