Rwanda Shipment Arrives

After a few delays and problems in customs, the shipment we sent in March to Rwanda finally arrived in July. In God’s perfect timing, they received their certificate from the Ministry of Health to open the clinic the same day it arrived. The Church of the Nazarene built a maternity clinic in the western region of Rwanda and we sent equipment and supplies for it. Fourteen babies were born in this new facility in the first two weeks of operation!

I was able to meet Pastor Simon Pierre who was responsible for the Rwanda shipment while attending a conference at Olivet Nazarene University. After exchanging at least 100 emails with each other, it was great to meet face to face! We just “happened” to sit near each other on the shuttle that was taking us back to the airport. Pastor Pierre said, “The equipment and supplies you sent are saving lives in Western Rwanda.” He also noted how well everything was packed and said what a good job we did. We always like to hear those reports!
